Since the early years of the school, Tom Riddle from the USA has kindly made short films (see links above) and taken photographs of the school and its evolution.

In one film, a Hindi-speaking British woman speaks about her contact with the school including parents of children in the school. In just over 8 minutes, you can hear touching thoughts on the importance of the school and see the joy of chlldren, who experience the opportunity to go to school.

On another film, Tom wrote: “In less than five minutes, Jyoti, a former pupil in the school, explains a typical day there.  Today, Jyoti works for Amazon. Her job entails answering customer queries in German from her home in Bodh Gaya.”

These short films have served as a significant fund raiser to run the school with around 450 children. Small groups of peope watched a film in homes in different countries to develop support for our  school.

Tom has made films for non-governmental organisations in south-east Asia, including Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia

“Making those films was eye-opening for me in many ways,” he reported. “Prajna Vihar school has helped lift thousands out of poverty."

Special thanks to Tom and all pupils, teachers and others who appeared in the films.

Our appreciation to all those who contributed photographs for our website.
